EXCLUSIVE: Bhuvan Arora shares his experience of working with Shahid Kapoor in Farzi: We were like buddies on sets

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Bhuvan Arora opened up on his experience of working with Shahid Kapoor in Farzi.

When asked about his experience and camaraderie with Farzi co-star Shahid, Bhuvan told us, “See this point was also raised when we were at the screening and there was a small Q&A that happened before the screening and so obviously the actors of the show were standing and we were addressing the audience and uss time pe bhi humare joh MC the unhone bola ki you know ‘I’d like to call the superstar and the talents’. Apart from Shahid bhai, he addressed everybody as talents and he very gracefully said that we all are talents. Nobody is a superstar and we are all equals here.”

Bhuvan added, “So, I think that is the clarity he always had. You can’t take away from his stardom, right? I’m too fresh, too young to be taking away from his stardom. He has his audience, he has those fans who are just… I think that a lot of people just came in to see the show because it had Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi in the first place. So, they’ve earned it over a period of time and you can’t take that away from them. I think that also puts you in a space where you feel secure. Yeh aapko direction khud choose karni padegi ki aap usko lekar secure ho rahe ho ya insecure.” He further went on to call Shahid a ‘secure’ person.

Bhuvan went on to add, “We were always like buddies chilling out on the sets. We would always hang around. He would come to my van and we would sit, we would talk and you know we would take each other’s suggestions and feed off each other and which is why I think it came out beautifully. Toh woh cheez unko credit jaata hai and mein unse seekh nahi sakta iss cheez ko.”

During the conversation, Bhuvan also revealed the compliment he received from filmmaker Karan Johar. The actor shared, “I got a message from Karan Johar sir and I jumped off the bed. I was like ‘Oh my God, is this even happening?’ I’m a huge Karan Johar fan.”

Bhuvan went on to add that he recently met KJo. He shared, “I met him recently and very graceful of him to give me his time. I met him and I just went inside and I said ‘Sir, this is such a maar jaaun ya jee lu zara moment for me’. I’ve always been like a huge admirer of his work and that was very motivating.”
