Casting Director Parag Chadha ACCUSES Vikram Bhatt Non-Payment Of 1920 Film

A new allegation has emerged against Vikram Bhatt, this time from the casting director Parag Chadha of his 2023 film 1920. The casting director claims that Bhatt has yet to pay the cast and crew of the film. Meanwhile, Vikram Bhatt and his wife, Shwetambari Bhatt, will remain in custody after the Rajasthan High Court on Saturday refused to grant them bail in a Rs 30 crore cheating and criminal breach of trust case, marking a setback in the ongoing investigation.

1920 Casting Director Parag Chadha Claims Producer Vikram Bhatt Hasn’t Made Payments

Amidst these developments, Parag Chadha, a seasoned casting director and actor known for his work on major Bollywood films like Ek Tha Tiger, Band Baaja Baaraat, and Rabba Main Kya Karoon, has come forward with a new accusation. He shared screenshots of his conversations with a director’s team on Instagram, where he demanded payment for his work and that of his talent. He specifically named the film 1920: Horrors of the Heart, directed by Krishna Bhatt and produced by Vikram Bhatt, alleging that he has been requesting payment for years without success.

Parag claimed he has repeatedly asked for his dues over the years but has received no positive response. Frustrated, he took to social media to reveal what he called the “dark reality of the movie industry.” He shared chat screenshots with the team, expressing that he and his team have reached their limits after years of trying to collect payments. Fans have reacted strongly, condemning Vikram Bhatt, Krishna Bhatt, and their team for delaying payments for the hard work of many.

Vikram Bhatt’s Arrest

In December of last year, Vikram Bhatt and Shwetambari Bhatt were arrested by Rajasthan Police from Mumbai and brought to Udaipur. They have been in judicial custody since then. The case originated from a complaint filed by Ajay Murdia, founder of Indira IVF and Fertility Centre, a resident of Udaipur. Murdia accused Bhatt, his wife, and others of cheating and criminal breach of trust, alleging that approximately Rs 30 crore was misappropriated under the pretext of film production.

Along with Vikram and Shwetambari Bhatt, Udaipur-based Dinesh Kataria and Bhatt’s manager, Mehboob Ansari, were also arrested in connection with the case on December 7.
