Irrfan-Khan

Irrfan Khan has come a long way in his acting career. He is one of the finest actors we have in our country and his power to entertain the audience with his acting skills is simply extraordinary. The power of his talent could be derived from the success of his last Bollywood film ‘Hindi Medium’. The film had an extremely slow beginning at the box office, but it went on to become one of the most successful films of this year. It clashed with gigantic ‘Half Girlfriend’ and still had this impact. It proves that Irrfan Khan is one Bollywood star we need to look out for. On this note, we have an update on Irrfan’s next project.

The ‘Maqbool’ star has collaborated with media honcho, Ronnie Screwvala, for his next. This project yet to receive a title but the shooting is supposed to go on floors by end of this month. As per reports, the story narrates a tale of three individuals who embark on a somewhat bizarre journey when put together. This film would be directed by Akarsh Khurana. Irrfan’s character in this film would be that of a conservative yet a quirky lover of Urdu poetry. Talking about the same Irrfan says, “I’m excited to be collaborating with Ronnie again. It’s a fun character for me to play and rather interesting project to be a part of.” (Also Read: Irrfan Khan clears the air on rumours of him walking out of ‘Gustakhiyan’)

Further reports also state that another leading actor too would be cast in this film. Rumours had it that Abhishek Bachchan was to be a part of this project, but later a source stated that he has opted out of the project. A source had stated, “The film was to roll in January 2018 because Irrfan is busy shooting for his next Hollywood film. Given that the film follows a group of men on a road trip, it relies on the camaraderie between the actors. Irrfan and Abhishek hit it off well when they met. But, last week, it was conveyed to us that Abhishek has pulled out of the film since the schedule, and the time he had to put in to prepare for the film, was clashing with the schedule of JP Dutta’s ‘Paltan’.”

Let’s wait for more updates.
