Confirmed: Nargis Fakhri as Sangeeta Bijlani in ‘Azhar’ biopic

The Emraan Hashmi starrer biopic on cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin, will have actress Nargis Fakhri playing the role of actress Sangeeta Bijlani in the movie. Sangeeta Bijlani is Azharuddin’s second wife. The Biopic Azhar is being made by Ekta Kapoor under her banner of Balaji Productions.

Sources said, “We have locked Nargis to play Sangeeta Bijlani in the film. She fit the bill in terms of looks, style and glamour. We did the look test with her. She is a talented actress and we are glad to have her on board.”

Sources further added that, “In order to get into the skin of the character, Nargis will attend some workshops. There will be another heroine that too will be an established one. We are yet to decide who we should cast.”

‘Azhar’ that has Emraan Hashmi playing the titular role, is likely to go on floors next month.
