Kanika Kapoor Coronavirus row: Sona Mohapatra calls out the ‘Baby Doll’ singer for her ‘irresponsibility’

Looking at the current scenario, with every passing hour the chaos and panic owing to the outbreak of Coronavirus are increasing at a high rate. Singer Kanika Kapoor, who recently tested positive for Covid 19, has been slammed by netizens for her negligence. The singer who returned from London was seen attending parties and now that she is Covid 19 positive everyone is wondering how many more people will be contracting the disease soon.

Sona Mohapatra has now come out to express her concern over how people are acting like ‘irresponsible idiots’ and that will definitely result in an explosion of Coronavirus in India.

Taking to her Twitter handle, Sona Mohapatra in a series of tweet expressed her concern over we will be able to curb the spread of the virus if people won’t take necessary precautions. Pointing out Kanika Kapoor’s case, Sona wrote, “Case in point, #KanikaKapoor hid her travel history after landing in #India (goddess knows how), attended events in Lucknow, Mumbai, went partying while staying in a 5 & has the virus! So all of U giving me Gyan about how ‘simplistic’ PM’s speech was, was it really?#WeThePeople.”

She further also lashed out the politicians and the bureaucrats who didn’t follow the guidelines of the government and instead were seen partying with Kanika. “& of course the netas & leaders who talk about ‘social distancing’ being the only way to combat the #coronavirus but themselves attending ‘parties’. Dushyant Singh, M.P & U.P health minister were with #KanikaKapoor! Karnataka CM attended a wedding with another 2000 attending,” Sona wrote in her post.

Veteran singer Bappi Lahiri also called Kanika irresponsible. Speaking to SpotBoyE he said, “She should not have travelled back to India if she was in London. That the first mistake she made. It was irresponsible on her part.”
