COVID-19 positive singer Kanika Kapoor’s ‘negligence’ triggers meme fest on social media

‘Baby Doll’ singer Kanika Kapoor has tested positive for Coronavirus. The singer has even confirmed the news. However, Kanika was slammed by the netizens for not practising self-isolation upon her return from London. Even Kanika’s father Rajiv Kapoor claimed that she attended 2-3 parties after arriving in Lucknow from the UK. Now netizens couldn’t stop targeting the singer for her negligence. Soon they came up with hilarious memes targeting the singer.

Kanika Kapoor refuted rumours of partying with 100 of people. In fact, she went on to say that she hasn’t partied in months. However, pictures and videos of the several parties attended by Kanika have surfaced on social media. Netizens bashed the singer for endangering several lives due to her negligence.

U.P police have already taken action against Kanika. Cops have filed an FIR against the singer under Section 269 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Reportedly the singer stayed at Taj Hotel and attended several functions in Lucknow. These functions and parties were attended by several bureaucrats and eminent personalities.

UP health minister Jai Pratap Singh, former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje, her son and BJP MP Dushyant Singh, BJP MLA Pankaj Singh, TMC MP Derek O’Brien, Apna Dal MP Anupriya Patel and the Congress leader Jitin Prasada, all are now practising self-quarantine, as they attended the parties which Kanika was also a part of.
