Emraan Hashmi, Genelia Deshmukh Bring Romance Alive In Dard-E-Dil

A soulful romantic number, ‘Dard E Dil’ adds a beautiful melodic layer to the film’s musical landscape. With Himesh’s signature style of composition and the contrasting textures of his and Akasa’s voices, the song captures the emotional and romantic side of the film’s central pairing.

Himesh Reshammiya says, “After the blockbuster success of ‘Afsaana Banaaya Aapne’ and ‘Do Do Din Ki Zindagi’, which have collectively garnered over 300 million views across platforms, including more than 150 million views on my YouTube channel, Himesh Reshammiya Melodies, I am extremely happy to bring you a song that is particularly close to my heart. Its vibrant composition and poetic lyrics, beautifully penned by my wife Sonia, make it very special. ‘Dard E Dil’ is a romantic song with a beautiful melody that stays with you long after you have heard it.”

Director Aditya Datt adds, “This song is extra special to me because its mukhda and hook line have a very personal connection. They remind me of my grandfather, the legendary Anand Bakshi ji, and his iconic song ‘Dard-E-Dil Dard-E-Jigar’ from Karz. While this is an entirely different composition and song, that emotional connection with my grandfather makes it all the more special for me.”

Producer Deepak Mukut says, “A film like Gunmaaster G9 needs music that adds to its overall experience, and ‘Dard E Dil’ brings a beautiful romantic dimension to it. Himesh has created a melody that feels warm and heartfelt, and the song gives Emraan and Genelia’s pairing its own musical high.”

Starring Emraan Hashmi, Genelia D’Souza and Aparshakti Khurana, along with Abhishek Singh, Gunmaaster G9 is produced by Deepak Mukut, Hunar Mukut and Sangeeta Ahir, and presented by Soham Rockstar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Directed by Aditya Datt, the action romance is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on November 27, 2026.

Gunmaaster G9 is a SRE Studio LLP production. PEN Marudhar is the all-India distributor of the film and Phar films is the overseas distributor.
