Deepika Padukone’s ‘Deewani Mastani’ performance receives The Academy’s recognition; Ranveer Singh has a wholesome reaction to it!

It’s time for Deepika Padukone fans, as well as those who love Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, to rejoice. Why? Well, The Academy, colloquially known as the Oscars, has shared a clip of the actress appreciating her performance to the film’s iconic track Deewani Mastani. The track – sung by Shreya Ghoshal, is mesmerizing even if you watch it nearly a decade later.

Ranveer Singh posted a heartfelt response on the post, describing the performance as “Mesmeric!” Shreya Ghoshal too commented on it with a simple, “Thank you @theacademy”

Fans too took to the comments section of the post and poured in love for the film and Deepika Padukone’s performance in Deewani Mastani. One user wrote, “perfect cast, pefrect choreography, perfect set, perfect music. everythings on this movie is perfect.” Another added, “Der se hi sahi magar Oscars bhi Mastani ki Noor ki deewani ho gyi!”

One more fan commented, “This song was released in 2015, almost a decade ago, and I haven’t come across a more majestic piece since then. “Deewani Mastani” truly defines the word “grandeur,” and when it comes to Shreya Ghoshal, there’s no one else who could have done justice to this song.
