Deepika Padukone just completed nine years in the film industry, after her debut film ‘Om Shanti Om’ completed the tenure in Bollywood. After setting the ramp on fire with her thigh-high slits, be it Mtv EMA or Lux Golden Rose Awards, the actress now might be heading towards Japan, with filmmaker Farah Khan.

Well, before you put your brain horses into a tiresome drive, let us just tell you that the visit is for the play which is an adaptation of Deepika’s debut ‘Om Shanti Om’, which was directed by Farah Khan.

Deepika said, “It’s going to be a Japanese play, I don’t think a film. Farah told me they liked the film and they are having a play there (in Japan). The premiere will be in July next year, most probably Farah and I will be going there (Japan).”

Deepika, who will be next seen essaying the role of queen Padmavati in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’, also said a few bits about her role. “I don’t feel I have completed nine years, I feel I have just started off. I feel I have a lot more to give and I think I am ready for more challenging roles and films, and I am excited about one of those experiences, as ‘Padmavati‘ is going to be extremely difficult. But I am ready for that experience and journey,” the actress said.

Well, Deepika has sure come a long way. Who knows, maybe she will catch a Japanese venture on her trip there, adding to her international accolades.
