Dhanush

Actor Dhanush who has worked in Bollywood movies like ‘Raanjhana’ and ‘Shamitabh’ was summoned before the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court for claims made by an elderly couple that he is their son. (Also Read: Kajol to team up with Dhanush to work in a Tamil film ‘VIP 2’?)

A leading news agency states that the actor was asked to appear before the court for verification of his birth mark as the couple claims that Dhanush has two birth marks, a mole on his right collar bone and a scar on his right forearm. The judge has passed an order for the correct verification of the marks with a government doctor. The case has been adjourned for Thursday when the reports of the verification will be out.

The elderly couple has stated in their affidavit, “Simply filing an affidavit will not prove that the petitioner does not have such identification marks… No expert had verified those marks. There is also every possibility of dis-figuration of the marks since they have now come to his knowledge.” They have also accused Dhanush of producing a fake birth certificate and a fake ration card.

Dhanush has rubbished their claims and said, “I am not K. Kalaichelvan. I am K. Dhanush. I was formerly known as R.K. Vengadesha Prabhu.” Dhanush has stated in his petition that he was born to Krishnamoorthy (now known as Kasthuri Raja) and Vijayalakshmi and his name was Venkatesh Prabhu. He had his name changed to Dhanush K Raja when he entered the film industry in 2008.
