Yash has decided not to delay the release of Toxic despite its scheduled clash with Dhurandhar 2 on March 19. He is instead banking on the film’s content and its potential for a sustained box office run. Reports indicate that he was not informed in advance about the competition from the other Eid release. March is shaping up to be a significant battleground at the box office, with Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups both set for release on the same day. Although there was speculation that Toxic might shift its release date, recent updates suggest that Yash has no plans to do so.

Contrary to rumours that Yash was considering postponing Toxic to avoid the clash, a report by Variety India states otherwise. An insider revealed that Yash has immense confidence in his film and is focusing on its long-term performance rather than just opening weekend numbers. The source also mentioned that the release date was announced back in December 2023. And fans have been eagerly awaiting his return to the big screen. Yash reportedly doesn’t want to disappoint his fans by changing the release plan.

Toxic Team’s Discontent With Dhurandhar 2 Makers

According to Variety India, a source stated, “Yash is not operating on ego, contrary to what many might think.” The source added, “Yash is a very good businessman. If he had felt threatened by Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ he would have maybe considered postponing it. But he has immense confidence in the film’s content and is banking on a long-term theatrical run rather than just an opening weekend.”

Yash is reportedly upset that the makers of Dhurandhar did not inform him about their Eid release plans, despite knowing they had secured the date last year. With both films set to release on the same weekend, this Eid promises an exciting clash at the box office.

The source further explained the context behind Toxic’s release plans. “Toxic was officially announced three years back in December 2023. His fans have since been waiting to see him on screen. Yash doesn’t want to back off and disappoint his fans.”
