Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar delivers a massive Rs 27 crore opening as Mumbai theatres add nonstop early-morning shows to meet soaring demand.

Following its explosive debut, numerous theatres across Mumbai are now screening Ranveer Singh led Dhurandhar continuously, with showtimes at 1 AM, 4 AM, and 6 AM. The film’s impressive box office opening took many by surprise. While industry predictions had estimated an opening in the range of Rs 18-20 crore, Dhurandhar surpassed expectations with a remarkable Rs 27 crore opening, marking the highest opening of Ranveer Singh’s career. Buoyed by this strong start, exhibitors have rapidly increased the number of showings, with several Mumbai theatres now running the film around the clock.

By Friday evening, many cinemas had added late-night and early-morning screenings. For instance, PVR Sangam in Chakala is showing Dhurandhar at 1:50 AM, and Eros has an IMAX showing at 6 AM. PVR Citi Mall and MovieMax Sion are also offering early morning shows, while Metro INOX has a screening at 1:30 AM. Some theatres are operating almost nonstop; Maxus Cinema in Bhayandar is hosting up to eight late-night/early-morning shows across its screens, and Borivali’s Maxus has six shows during this period.

Dhurandhar Box Office Performance

The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, collected Rs 27 crore net domestically on its opening day. This makes it one of the biggest openings for a Hindi film in 2025, second only to Chhaava, which earned Rs 31 crore. The initial collections were boosted by positive word of mouth, especially after a modest booking of Rs 14 crore. There have been unconfirmed reports suggesting that some of the box office figures might have been inflated through block bookings. However, these remain unverified.
