Dia Mirza's former manager Rahila Furniturewala arrested by NCB

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), has arrested a few people including two British nationals after drugs were found in their possession. The drug case is part of the ongoing investigation in late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.

According to a DNA report, one of the persons arrested by NCB is actress Dia Mirza’s ex-manager Rahila Furniturewala. The anti-drug agency has also arrested Rahila’s sister Shaista, as Ganja was recovered from her possession as well. Read on to know the details

The anti-drug agency’s probe of the drug cartel in Bollywood intensified after Sushant’s tragic death. According to a DNA report, in the latest development, in this case, NCB has made some arrests. The NCB released a statement via Zee News, in which talking about the latest arrests, they said, “On the basis of specific information, NCB Mumbai effected a seizure of Ganja from one courier at Bandra West. In the follow-up operation, a huge stash of imported strains of Ganja was recovered from a resident of Jaswant Heights Khar west named Karan Sajnani (British National). Further, on the revelation of Karan Sajnani, Ganja Bud was recovered from Rahila Furniturewala who is also suspect in the investigation of Cr. No. 16/2020 of Mumbai Zonal Unit. The sister of Rahila Furniturewala named Shaista Furniturewala was also arrested as she too was found in possession of Ganja. Total contraband seized was approximately 200 kg.”

“The contraband was packed in the form of pre-rolled Ganja Joints by Karan Sajnani and was marketed to high-class clients in Mumbai and various other states. The smuggling activity was supported by Rahila Furniturewala by providing financial and other aids,” the statement added further.

The NCB is now on a lookout for Sushant’s friend and assistant director Rishikesh Pawar. According to NCB’s statement to IANS, Pawar is absconding since last few days.
