Ranveer Singh To Return Don 3 Signing Amount To Farhan Akhtar

Free Press Journal quoted a source saying, “Ranveer Singh has gracefully agreed to return his signing amount, which was reportedly around Rs 10 crore. To further compensate Excel, he has reportedly agreed to give them a ‘stake’ in his next film, tentatively being referred to as Pralaay.”

The source however was unable to reveal the exact percentage of stake offered. At the moment, details pertaining to the film’s exact budget and development are still being planned or under wraps. Don 3 Controversy

Two years ago, Excel Entertainment announced Ranveer Singh as the main lead of Don 3 with an intense promo. Since then, there had been little to no update on the project. In the last few months, tension between Singh and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment arouse after the actor exited the highly anticipated film.

The fallout became a topic of public discussion following reports of script disagreements and production delays. It was previously reported that the makers were seeking Rs 40 crore in compensation, citing pre-production expenses, scheduling changes and related losses. The production house maintained that groundwork had been completed with Ranveer’s approval.

However, Ranveer reportedly walked away from the project due to dissatisfaction with the script, the absence of a bound script and concerns over the project’s management. As the matter escalated, the Producers Guild of India intervened in the mediation.
