Shraddha Kapoor led Eetha FIRST Look Out

The much-anticipated first look of Eetha, the biographical film celebrating the legendary Marathi folk and Tamasha artist Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar, is out. Featuring Shraddha Kapoor in a powerful, author-backed role, the film marks the reunion of producer Dinesh Vijan and director Laxman Utekar. It comes after their successful collaboration on Chhaava.

Eetha FIRST Look Out!

The first glimpse showcases Shraddha in her element—dancing with grace and regal attire, embodying the spirit of the veteran Tamasha and Lavani performer. Fans are already cheering as she prepares to mesmerise audiences once again.

As the makers state, “The Power of Her” captures Shraddha’s remarkable ability to portray strength and elegance. The narrator says,“Paan chakna ho toh meetha, aur toofan ko naachte dekhna ho toh Eetha.” The film promises an immersive journey through the decades, from the 1940s to the 1990s. It will show the rise of Vithabai as the Empress of Tamasha, her personal and financial struggles in later years.

It’s scheduled for release on August 28, 2026—coinciding with Raksha Bandhan. Eetha stars Shraddha Kapoor as Vithabai. The cast includes Randeep Hooda and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub.

Shraddha’s Dedication

To authentically portray Vithabai, Shraddha underwent rigorous training in traditional Maharashtrian dance forms like Lavani and Gavlan. She made physical transformations to reflect the different stages of her life. Moving away from her usual commercial roles, this project promises a compelling and deeply personal narrative of a legendary artist.
