esha deol and bharat takhtani

Actress Esha Deol who is happily married to Bharat Takhtani since the year 2012 is expecting her first child. As we see glowing pictures of a pregnant Esha, here comes another great news. The couple is going to tie the knot for the second time. Well yes, as strange as it may sound, it’s true. The couple will be marrying for the second time and this time will be taking three pheras instead of the usual seven.

According to the Sindhi tradition, this is a ritual that needs to be conducted during the Godh bharai ceremony. Ace designer Neeta Lulla will be designing their wedding trousseau just like she had done for their first wedding. A Sindhi priest will be conducting the ceremony and will chant the mantras in Hindi to bless the mother and child. Post this, the family members will apply oil to Esha’s forehead and shower her with presents. There will also be a mehendi ceremony with some naach-gaana. Esha spoke about her attire for the ceremony to a daily, “Neeta ji is simply the best. Besides doing my clothes for lots of my films, she also did my wedding. Both, Bharat and I, are very lucky to wear her (Neeta Lulla) creations for our wedding and now it’s baby shower time so obviously, I want her only to do our outfits. She saw me through that journey. She gets a certain confidence and grace to my look with her clothes and style. I have no tension although my bump is growing by the hour her clothes somehow make me look flawless.”

Neeta Lulla also revealed some details by saying, “Esha would be glowing on her baby shower in an asymmetrical Anarkali with multi layers of red and pink tulle, crafted with gota, zardosi and sequin embroidery paired perfectly with a sharara with multigores which would enable her to walk around freely and make her feel comfortable. Esha particularly wanted a hint of the ‘Radharani’ colours from the medieval Vrindavan, hence the colour pink to express the power of love and compassion.”

We are pretty excited for this ceremony and await some pictures.
