The actor Bobby Deol’s movie Bandar was released in theatres on June 5. Ahead of its release, his half-sister, Esha, attended a private screening of the film in Mumbai on Thursday.

Following the screening, Esha took to her Instagram Stories to compliment Bobby’s acting and encourage audiences to watch the film in theatres. Sharing a picture with Bobby Deol and Tanya Deol on Instagram, Esha wrote, “You are in the best form ever! Undoubtedly the finest actor today. Enduring and vulnerable! Way to go, bhaiya.” She also urged fans, “Go watch Bandar!” Bobby later reshared her post on his Instagram Stories.

About Bandar

Directed by Anurag Kashyap, Bandar is a crime thriller produced by Nikhil Dwivedi under his banner, Saffron Magicworks. The screenplay is by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, inspired by real-life events. The film features Bobby Deol in the lead role, alongside Sanya Malhotra, Sapna Pabbi, Saba Azad, Indrajith Sukumaran, Raj B Shetty, and Jitendra Joshi in prominent roles.

The story revolves around an aging television star accused of rape by his former girlfriend. Bandar premiered in the Special Presentations section at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, 2025. It marks the first collaboration between Bobby Deol and director Anurag Kashyap. Upon release, the film received positive reviews from critics, with many praising Bobby’s performance as one of his best.

After Bandar, Bobby will next star in the YRF Spy Universe film Alpha, directed by Shiv Rawail. The movie also features Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, and Anil Kapoor in key roles. Alpha is the seventh instalment in Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe, which includes Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3, and War 2. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on July 3.
