EXCLUSIVE: Alaya F reveals dealing with her parents’ divorce was ‘so smooth’: I didn’t think of it like a sad thing

Actress Alaya F made a smashing debut with Jawaani Jaaneman and is considered one of the most promising actresses. Post-pandemic she marked her return to the big screen in Kartik Aaryan starrer Freddy and left all impressed with her acting prowess.  Alaya F is the daughter of actress Pooja Bedi and businessman Farhaan Furniturewala but her parents parted ways after eight years of marriage in 2003. The Freddy actress in an exclusive chat with us and opened up about her parent’s divorce and how it affected her.

Speaking about her parent’s divorce Alaya said, “You know I’ll tell you the funny thing is that my parents dealt with their divorce so well, that’s right,  it’s so smooth that I didn’t even think of it as like a sad thing. I swear I didn’t, because I remember that many years later that it was around when I was in the first grade okay.  I remember I was in the fourth grade or fifth grade and one of my friends came to me and she was like my parents are getting divorced and whatever and I was like ‘oh okay’ and I went on with the day. Later on, she’s telling me you know I felt really hurt that you weren’t there for me and I was feeling really sad about it. I was like that’s not a sad thing I said my parents are divorced it’s very chill. I was like don’t stress about it.“
