Recalling her meeting with Dev Anand she said, “It so happened that when I was in college, he was my God. I used to find him very, very good-looking. When Hare Rama Hare Krishna came we all bought the glasses worn by Zeenat Aman in the film. Then after many many years when Dev Saab was making a film, he called me and I was in seventh heaven jumping and dancing. So excited that I am meeting Dev Saab, wore my best clothes and went to meet him. He used to have a suite in Sun and Sand and he called me there. I reached and called him that I have reached. He said ok come up. I reached the suite and rang the doorbell and he opened the door in his signature style saying, ‘Welcome Welcome’. I was blown over and did not know how to react. He was so nice so decent. I did not do the film as the role was too small but he was a wonderful person.”
