Tara Sutaria told Bollywood Bubble, “To be honest, it used to really bother me, till very recently. I had a meeting with somebody. As recently as maybe three or four months ago. And, somebody was narrating a story to me for a prospect of doing a film with this person. And, this person very honestly told me what a lot of people in the industry think of me. Because, I speak a certain way and I’m sitting opposite this dude like ‘Are you serious bro? Like are you for real right now?’. Now, you’re judging a person by and I was like, ‘You know what, everybody judges at some level, let it go’. Because, this is something I’ve heard since I did Student of the Year 2.

She added, “Yes. I’m particular about how I speak because perhaps that’s how I’ve been raised. That’s how what I enjoy. I enjoy languages across the board. I used to sing in Italian, I used to sing in French. I love singing in Hindi. I’m singing in Hindi in this film (Ek Villain Returns). I absolutely love Hindi as much as I love English. And, I try to speak very clear Hindi. I will never speak Mumbai Bandra Hindi.

The Ek Villain Returns actress continued, “More importantly, if you take a second out to actually know me. And, you will know that, yes, I am particular about how I speak in English. But, I respect all languages equally and I enjoy speaking in all languages. And It’s not just a language thing. I think, people just perceive me a bit uppity or snobbish or I don’t know what it is that they used to. They don’t anymore because I’ve gotten to know a lot more people in the industry.”
