Farah Khan

Actress, director, choreographer and television host, these are some of the many attributes of multitalented Farah Khan. Khan best known for her films such as ‘Main Hoon Na’, ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Happy New Year’ was recently honoured at the 37th Cairo International Film Festival. The Khan’s hit flick ‘Om Shanti Om’ that starred Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone will be screened on November 19 at the fest.

Farah Khan received a warm welcome by her Egyptians fan in the country. She was overwhelmed with the love and affection they bestowed on her.

Farah said, “I have three children and I came here, and I think that action is better than words. You can see that I came to Egypt and it is safe. I Have visited Egypt three times prior to this, in near future I will like to shoot a song sequence near the River Nile and the Sphinx.”

She further added that, “It is a great honour for me to be here. I am happy to be honoured with the Faten Hamama Award for excellence in cinema at CIFF. Bollywood represents the soul of India in our films, and people like our movies as we show the celebration of life that we have.”

The 37th edition of the Cairo International Film Festival runs until November 20.
