This was once again evident when Vivek Agnihotri issued an alert to Indian film industry leaders regarding U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of a 100% tariff on foreign movies. The filmmaker called it a disastrous move that could lead to the collapse of the Indian film industry.

Vivek Agnihotri On Donald Trump’s 100% Movie Tariff Move

As U.S. President Donald Trump took to social media to announce a 100% tariff on any and all movies produced outside the United States, filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri took to his own social media platform. He wrote, “ALERT: Trump’s 100% Movie Tariff Threatens Indian Cinema. Trump’s 100% tariff on movies is a disastrous move. If this absurdity prevails, India’s struggling film industry will collapse entirely, with no one to save it. Indian film leaders must wake up, unite, and fight this threat instead of chasing paparazzi and self-glorification.”

On the work front, The Delhi Files : The Bengal Chapter will be directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and Jointly produced by Abhishek Agarwal and Pallavi Joshi. The film, presented by Tej Narayan Agarwal & I Am Buddha productions.
