It seems like people still not ready to forgive Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya for making a sexist and misogynistic remark on Karan Johar’s show ‘Koffee With Karan’ last year. Following his remarks, Pandya was suspended and called back to India during Test series in Australia. Somehow, the suspension was lifted and he returned to the field, during India vs New Zealand T20 match in Auckland, a woman used a banner which reads, “Pandya Aa Karke Aaya Kya?’ to troll him.

However, when he was performing well at the field, the spectators cheered him but what caught everyone’s attention was a banner by a woman that read, “Pandya Aaj Karke Aaya Kya?” The picture of the woman spectator holding that banner has gone viral on social media and netizens came up with their own version of the reaction. This placard was basically in reference to Hardik’s controversial statement on Karan Johar’s show regarding his virginity, where he said that he told his parents, mai karke aaya [I did it today].”

It is to be noted that Karan Johar’s show has lost its sponsorship from Google due to the massive backlash on social media for Pandya and Rahul’s sexist remarks. The Google logo was not visible alongside the show’s title as opposed to the previous episodes. A case was also registered against the duo and the host of the show and filmmaker Karan Johar in Jodhpur on February 6.

Post social media outrage, Karan Johar had issued an apology saying that he is responsible for the controversy because it was his show.
