Since last year, we have been seeing several movies pushing their dates either due to a rise in COVID-19 cases or due to post-production work. Among many, Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush is one of them whose new released date was announced on the auspicious day of Maha Shivratri. The makers announced that the film is all set to hit the big screens on January 12, 2023, thus averting the clash with Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha.

Adipurush was initially going to clash with Laal Singh Chaddha on August 11, 2022, at the box office. But if you are wondering why they have averted the clash due to box office business or COVID-19, well, let us tell you that they pushed the dates further as the VFX work was not completed. According to an ETimes report, Adipurush is not hitting the big screens this August because the VFX of the film is not ready. “VFX takes time. The producers, T-Series, have an excellent product in hand. They wouldn’t like to hurry up for just the heck of it,” a source was quoted by the portal. Now, we are excited to watch Laal Singh Chaddha and Adipurush on different dates.

Meanwhile, Adipurush is based on Ramayan where Prabhas essays the role of Lord Ram whereas Kriti Sanon plays the role of Goddess Sita. On the other hand, Sunny Singh will play Laxman and Saif Ali Khan will essay the role of Raavan in the film. The budget of the movie is anticipated to be Rs 400 crore, which makes it one of the most expensive Indian films.
