Varun Dhawan talks about trolls and criticism on social media

Varun Dhawan is quite popular among fans all over the world. It is not only because he is the current heartthrob of Bollywood, but also because he is one of those few actors who are quite active on social media and make sure to stay connected with fans. But, recently Varun was trolled over supposedly wearing cheap shorts which he sported in a picture he tweeted. Recently, the actor was present at the Jagran Cinema Summit – Future of Cinema where he chose to share that trolls and criticism do affect him.

He said, “I use social media and while positive comments motivate me to work harder, negative comment and criticism depress my mind; especially it made me conscious about my films. A negative review of the film, or even one-liner negative comments on my films affect me.” (Also Read: Varun Dhawan once again speaks his mind on Nepotism)

“We are rather living a disciplined life. Nothing is off camera. Going out for a date is difficult, I have no time. That’s a different story. But at a party, we cannot go high or something as everyone is doing Facebook live, Instagram videos. However, I love the love that people give us,” added the ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ actor.

On the professional front, Varun is gearing up for the release of ‘Judwaa 2’ which has been directed by his father David Dhawan. It stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu playing the female leads. The film is slated to release on September 29, 2017.
