Varun Dhawan faced some hilarious roasting from Samay Raina and fellow judges during the latest episode of India’s Got Latent 2. Samay Raina Roasts Varun Dhawan On India’s Got Latent 2

Soon after the episode was released, several clips from the show surfaced on social media. In some of them, Samay and Sharon were seen roasting Varun, who took the jokes in good humour.

In one clip, Samay pointed out that his show had featured Alia Bhatt as a panelist following last year’s controversy. “I have got such big stars after the FIR – Alia Bhatt and now Varun Dhawa, the show keeps going down,” Samay joked. His remark left Varun laughing.

Varun revealed that he is a fan of the show and usually watches it alone. However, he also admitted that he knew something would go wrong during his appearance. Samay quickly responded, “Something has gone off, you are here.”

‘Dilwale Is Like Inception’

In another clip, Sharon recalled one of Varun’s statements from the past and said, “I am a big fan of you Varun. My favourite performance is when you said ‘Dilwale is like Inception.” Varun clarified that he had been attempting to make a joke, but no one understood it. Elsewhere, a contestant asked the judges to pick a number between 1 and 5. Varun chose 1 and said, “I like 1.” Samay used the opportunity to take a dig at Varun’s last film, Border 2, asking, “Why did you spoil Border 2 then.”

Varun defended the film, pointing out that it earned money. Samay then asked Varun to name his last film, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. He cheekily altered the title and said, “Hai papa director toh actor toh hona he hai.” The playful roast left the audience in splits, while multiple clips from the episode continued to circulate across social media.

Varun On His Appearance On IGL 2

The episode featuring Varun Dhawan and the other special guests premiered on the platform on September 4. Speaking about his appearance, Varun said, “Comedy is a genre I love performing and enjoy watching as well. Samay’s brand of comedy is so unpredictable that I wanted to experience it live. I had a great time, and hopefully everyone on Netflix enjoys this special as much as I did.”
