Huma Qureshi REACTS To Baby Do Die Do, Alia Bhatt, Sharvari-Led Alpha Box Office Clash; Says, “Don’t Look At Alpha As A Competition”

This Friday saw the release of two female-led action films in theatres – Huma Qureshi’s Baby Do Die Do and Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. While there has been talk of the two films competing against each other since their release date announcement, Huma Qureshi clarified that she does not see Alpha as competition. Huma Qureshi REACTS To Baby Do Die Do, Alpha Box Office Clash

Huma spoke to news agency ANI about her film Baby Do Die Do clashing with Alpha. She said, “I don’t look at Alpha from a sense of being a competition. I think there is space for all kinds of films to be made and to be viewed. We’re an independently made film. I’m not even looking at what else is releasing on that weekend, but just want to find my own audience.”

She added that she finds it wonderful to see two female-led films released simultaneously. The actress stated, “On the other hand, I think it’s amazing that here we are, where two female-led films are clashing at the box office. We’ve already reached a place where that’s actually a reality, and more power to all of us, and more power to all female-led content. I will always be cheering, not just for my own film, but also for my girlfriends.”

About Baby Do Die Do

Baby Do Die Do is directed by Nachiket Samant and produced by Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem’s production house, Saleem Siblings. The film stars Huma as a deaf and mute assassin named Baby KarMarKar, who hears her deceased sister’s voice as she carries out murders. The cast also includes Seema Pahwa, Sikander Kher, Chunky Pandey, and Rachit Singh.

Alpha, directed by Shiv Rawail in his debut, is produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The story was written by Soumil Shukla, Shridhar Raghavan, Ishita Moitra, and Uday Chopra. It follows an assassin who was raised in isolation. She eventually turns against her mentor after uncovering the truth about her past. The film features Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol.

As the weekend wraps up, it remains to be seen whether both films will see an increase in collections.
