Indian Consulate confirms Mika Singh’s arrest; says he had no performance in Dubai

Singer Mika Singh’s life has been embroiled into controversies many times and yet again he has landed into trouble in Dubai. Yesterday, the news of Mika getting arrested in Dubai flashed across headlines. As per reports, the singer was taken into custody for sending inappropriate pictures to a 17-year-old Brazilian girl. And now the news of his arrest has been confirmed by the Indian Consulate.

As per a news in Republic TV, the complaint was lodged in the Muraqqabaat police station, Dubai, by the girl herself. The news further said that Mika was arrested at around 3 am in the morning from a bar in Bur Dubai and was then taken to Abu Dhabi jail. Dubai Police confirmed the news about the same and said that he was in their custody yesterday.

As per the latest report, the Indian Consulate has confirmed that Mika has been arrested related to a sexual harassment complaint. Reports further stated that neither Mika nor the Dubai officials have contacted the consulate and the Indian embassy in Abu Dhabi would be able to give more details on the case.

The source further said that there was no performance scheduled for Mika in Dubai.

One of Mika’s team members, confirmed the news to ANI saying, “Singer Mika Singh has been detained in United Arab Emirates (UAE) after a girl complained against him for alleged harassment. Questioning underway.”
