Irrfan has been given a tribute by the neighbourhood villagers of his Igatpuri farmhouse post his death. The people of the locality renamed the area to Hero-Chi-Wadi (neighbourhood of a hero in Marathi). A report in India Today stated that the villagers of the neighbourhood area were grateful for what Irrfan had done for them. He gifted them an ambulance, computers, books, raincoats, sweaters for their kids. Even during the festivals like Holi, Diwali, Eid, Dussehra, Christmas, he used to send sweets for them.

For the unversed, Irrfan bought his farmhouse in Igatpuri many years ago and he left no stone unturned to help the villagers there.
