Babil Khan Shares How Irrfan Khan Cared For Sutapa Sikdar During Cancer Battle
On Thursday, Babil posted a series of photos capturing a peaceful moment at home. The late Irrfan is seen tending to his wife Sutapa Sikdar’s feet while she rests. This simple act of care during a tough time speaks volumes about the family’s resilience and love.
In his caption, Babil shared a heartfelt memory, recalling how his mother developed painful corns while caring for Irrfan during his illness. He described how his father would tie his phone to his head to use it as a light to gently treat her feet. Babil wrote, “During baba’s most unbearable peak cancer period, mamma used to get corns on her feet, running around and taking care of him. So baba used to tie his phone on his head as a light source and operate on her corns.”
He added, “Both peeling off hardened layers of resistance towards the soft skin of love.” Reacting to the post, Sutapa Sikdar expressed her love for Babil, commenting, “My heart babilaa.”
Irrfan Khan’s Death
Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer in March 2018. He battled the disease until his passing on April 29, 2020. His work continues to be celebrated widely in Indian and international cinema.
