Yesterday (September 14), Irrfan Khan was spotted at the Mumbai airport. He was seen covering his face with a mask and was in a wheelchair as he exit from the airport. Seeing him, fans were happy but everyone started worrying why he was hiding his face and was on the wheelchair. Post the speculations started doing the rounds, Irrfan Khan’s spokesperson issued a statement regarding his health.

The statement read as: “Irrfan had a successful surgery after wrapping ‘Angrezi Medium’ shoot in London. He was missing home and has come to Mumbai for a few days and recover. We request the media to not speculate and thanking everyone again for the continued support.”

For the uninitiated, Irrfan was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour. Post that he left for London in March 2018. He shared the news among his fans through a tweet that read as: “The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. Learning that I have been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine Tumour as of now has admittedly been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope.”

Irrfan returned to Mumbai this year in March and he thanked his fans and well-wishers for their support. In April he started shooting for ‘Angrezi Medium’. The actor also shared the first look from his movie.
