Jabariya Jodi

The first half of ‘Jabariya Jodi’ hits all the right notes. The script and the dialogues are deftly written and you get a nice taste of Bihari humour.

Abhay Singh (Sidharth Malhotra) is a local goon who kidnaps grooms and forcefully marries them. He thinks he is doing a great job and fighting an evil system called dowry. Babli (Parineeti Chopra) starts off by running away from her house to get settled but gets ditched by the boy. After that, their roads cross and that’s where the film pulls up its socks.

Some dialogues like ‘Yeh paan hai ya japan hai?’ are really funny, and you need to give it to the writer for paying attention to the details.

We are definitely looking forward to the second half.
