‘K3G’ child-actress, Malvika to star opposite Emraan in ‘Captain Nawab’

Remember the little girl who played the role of younger Pooja in Karan Johar’s ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…’? Well, the little girl has now grown up and is all set to be back on the big screen. We are talking about Malvika Raaj who had impressed everyone with her brief role in ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…’. She will be seen opposite Emraan Hashmi in a movie titled ‘Captain Nawab’.

Talking about Malvika, director Tony D’Souza said, “We are attempting something new and so it was imperative for us to get the casting right. We were privileged to have met Malvika and have her on board. We put her through the usual rounds of auditions and she excelled in all of them. She is already well versed with the business, having done a film as a child artiste earlier and hailing from a family which has been in the film industry.”

‘Captain Nawab’ which will be produced by Emraan Hashmi is said to be inspired by true events. The actor will be playing the role of an army officer for the first time on the big screen. (Also Read: Emraan Hashmi makes a strong confession on nepotism and we are proud of him)

The first look of ‘Captain Nawab’ was unveiled last year, and it was clearly a copy of poster of popular video game, ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops’. However, to defend himself Emraan had posted, “Confused how to hold my fork n spoon. What if someone thinks Ive copied it frm a videogame cover?? #StupidJournalism.”

Currently, Emraan is busy with the promotions of ‘Baadshaho’ which is slated to release on September 1, 2017. The movie also stars Ajay Devgn, Ileana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta and Vidyut Jammwal.
