‘Kalank’: Karan Johar drops first poster of period drama; introduces Varun Dhawan as fearless Zafar
Ever since Abhishek Varman’s ambitious period drama ‘Kalank’ was announced, the film has created a lot of buzz. The fans have been waiting eagerly for a glimpse of the film, which stars Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in pivotal roles. The film is produced by Karan Johar. The film, which is set in 1940s, is slated to hit the screens on April 19 this year.
On Wednesday, producer Karan Johar shared the first glimpse of ‘Kalank’. He took to Instagram to share the post and asked fans to stay tuned for more on Thursday.

Today, Karan Johar took to Instagram to share the first look poster of Varun Dhawan’s character Zafar. In the poster, Varun Dhawan looks menacing as Zafar. Karan Johar describes Zafar as a ‘man with a fearless heart’. Take a look:
Interestingly, this will be Varun and Alia’s fourth film together. Following their debut in Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year’, the two went on to work in two other films ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’.
