After being tested positive for COVID-19, singer Kanika Kapoor has been grabbing the headlines. She traveled from the UK to Mumbai and then Lucknow and then came in contact with more than hundreds of people at various gatherings before she started getting the symptoms. She is now admitted to the Sanjay Gandhi PGIMS and has been quarantined and treated for the COVID-19 infection.

The latest report in Times Of India states that she came in contact with 162 people out of which 63 people have been tested negative for the novel coronavirus. “Swab samples of these persons are being collected and sent for testing at designated labs,” the report stated. Health officials are also trying to contact a Mumbai-based businessman who had reportedly come to meet the singer at the five-star hotel where she stayed for three days.

The party was also attended by former Chief Minister Of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje and her son. Through a tweet, Vasundhara Raje informed that they have been tested negative. “After conducting a #Covid19 test, I’m happy to inform you that the results came back negative. However, as a preventive measure, my son and I will continue to be in isolation for 15 days, she wrote.

For the unversed, Kanika attended parties and social gatherings between March 11-16 and on March 20, she took to her Instagram handle to share the news.
