Several Bollywood celebs came forward to pledge their support as well as remind their fans and followers about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘9 pm 9 minutes’ appeal. The PM’s initiative aims at dispelling the darkness spread by the outbreak of Coronavirus.

Actor Anupam Kher, filmmaker Karan Johar, and Kangana Ranaut’s manager-sister Rangoli Chandel expressed their support to PM’s latest appeal.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Karan wrote, “Following the vision of our Honourable Prime Minister @narendramodi…I hope it’s lights off for everyone tonight at 9pm for 9 minutes #9PM9minute ! Let the light of a candle .. a Diya …your cell phone light bring the light back into our lives! stay safe!”

Whereas Anupam Kher shared, “In our home we have a tradition of keeping a diya lit all day and all night. Tonight, at 9 pm, for 9 minutes, some more will be lit. Tonight, the lights of diyas from India will light up the whole world with the hope that in this honour of crisis, India is praying for the well being of the whole world#9PM9minute.”

The veteran actor also shared a video of his mother, alongside the caption, “Mom has a message for all of us. She, like most mothers is a great admirer of our Prime Minister @narendramodi ji & promises to light a candle or a lamp at 9pm for 9mins. She requests everybody else to do that. In return you will get her blessings!!#DulariRocks #9pm9mins.”

Rangoli Chandel gave a glimpse of how she will be following PM Modi’s appeal along with sister Kangana. She shared a picture of Kangana from her film Manikarnika’.

While everyone is lauding the ‘9PM9Minutes’ appeal but there are concerns about the national grid potentially collapsing. Hopefully, things will take place smoothly tonight.
