Emotional Karan Johar recalls holding Suhana Khan and Agastya Nanda in his arms as kids ahead of their debut in The Archies

On Monday, Zoya Akhtar shared a new poster of her upcoming musical The Archies, which marks the debut of 3 star kids, Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda and Khushi Kapoor. The excitement for the film was already high, but this poster just took it up another notch. It even left many people emotional and Karan Johar was one of them.

Karan Johar gets emotional ahead of Suhana and Agastya’s debut

Taking to his Instagram stories, Karan Johar shared the new poster along with an emotional note. He remembered Suhana and Agastya’s childhood days and holding them in his arms as kids. He wished Zoya as he wrote, “Go Zo!!!! The kids look incredible !!!!! I can’t believe how the kids grow up so fast !! Have literally held Aggy and @suhanakhan2 in my arms… And to all the supremely talented kids in this special film! This one is going to rule pop culture (red heart emoticons)”.

Shah Rukh Khan on daughter Suhana Khan debut in The Archies

On Monday evening, King Khan held his famous Ask SRK session on Twitter. A netizen asked him, “Archies coming on Netflix. How do you feel as a proud father?” In his response, he mixed his feelings of a father as well as a cinema lover. He said, “Father bias and excitement will always be there but looking forward to a Zoya Akhtar film actually….“

Before that, he had also shared the new poster of The Archies on his Twitter. Praising the team, he got a bit nostalgic too. He wrote, “I remember when I was young ( millions of years ago ) would book my Archie’s Digest in advance to rent. Nostalgia. I hope Big Moose is also in the film! All the best to the whole cast and love.”

More details on The Archies

The Archies features 7 Gen-Z actors. Apart from Suhana, Agastya and Khushi, it also features Yuvraj Menda, Vedang Raina, Dot and Mihir Ahuja. The musical is based on the Archies comic book series and is directed by Zoya. The Archies release date has not yet been finalised but it will stream directly on Netflix. On Tuesday, the 7 actors even flew to Brazil to attend the Netflix Tudum event.
