25 years of director Karan Johar: Aaj bhi Kuch Kuch Hota Hai when we see the first glimpses of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani- WATCH

Karan Johar is one of a kind and there’s no denying that! Recently, KJo completed 25 years as a director in Bollywood. Karan made his directorial debut with the romantic-comedy Kuch Kuch Hota Hai starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji. After that, Karan went on to create magic onscreen and has been unstoppable. The filmmaker’s many hits are proof of that. On Wednesday, Karan shared an emotional video on Instagram as he looked back on his journey as a director.

Karan Johar celebrates 25 years as a director

In the video, Karan can be heard saying, “Love comes with its conflicts and challenges but it’s the most beautiful feeling in the world. And as I look back on my journey of 25 years as a filmmaker, I am filled with immense gratitude. What began as a small attempt to share stories of love, friendship and family that resonated within me. But as each one of you embraced these stories and characters, love found a new meaning to me everyday. As I complete 25 years in the industry, this love has given wings to a new story.” The filmmaker then announced his next film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

With Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Karan Johar is returning to the director’s chair. The upcoming film starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh has been grabbing attention ever since it was announced. And well, finally, Alia and Ranveer’s fans can rejoice as the first look will be out tomorrow.

KJo’s caption read, “Nothing but gratitude for the magical 25 years I have spent in the director’s chair. I learnt, I grew, I wept, I laught – I lived. The video gave us a glimpse of Alia and Ranveer’s chemistry in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and we can’t wait to see more of it. For the uninitiated, KJo’s upcoming directorial releases in theatres on 28^th July.
