As the ‘God’s own Country’ Kerala is suffering from the wrath of nature, help has started pouring in from all over the nation. B-town celebrities too have started lending their support by donating money as well as necessary essentials for the flood-affected state.

Amitabh Bachchan has made a very generous contribution towards the flood-affected people of Kerala. According to a report in The Indian Express, Big B has donated a cash amount of Rs.51 lakh to the state’s Distress Relief Fund. This relief work in which Big B made his contributions was co-ordinated by sound designer Resul Pookutty.

And not only cash, the megastar also donated his personal belongings for the flood victims. A source close to Resul Pookutty, shared with the daily that Mr. Bachchan also gave out six cartons of his personal clothing which contained 80 jackets, 25 pants, 20 shirts, scarves and around 40 shoes.

Mr Bachchan certainly has a heart of gold and we are so proud of him.

Other celebrities who have come out and made a generous contribution towards the relief fund are Akshay Kumar, Sushant Singh Rajput, Shah Rukh Khan among several others. We are glad that our B-town celebrities are doing their bit to help and support the people of Kerala who are suffering from the worst flood their state has ever witnessed.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will be next seen along with Aamir Khan in the action adventure film ‘Thugs of Hindostan’.
