The makers of the upcoming multi-starrer ‘Kalank’ recently released the video of their second song – ‘First Class’ and the vibrant new number, featuring Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani, has hit all the right chords with the masses. But did you know, there is a connection to Madhubala also in the song? Any guesses?

Well, Kiara took inspiration from Madhubala to get the moves and the look perfect for the song. And indeed it has come out pretty well onscreen. While the song has received a lot of appreciation from all quarters, Kiara, who is looking utterly stunning in her desi avatar in the song, is also receiving praises galore for her fantabulous dance moves.

‘Kalank’ is a period film and interestingly Kiara herself is a huge Madhubala fan. She thought it would be apt to seek inspiration from her favourite actress for this song. So, she spent days and hours watching Madhubala dance videos before finally shooting for this energetic number with Varun Dhawan and choreographer Remo D’Souza. And we must say the results are simply spectacular. Kiara is not only looking drop-dead-gorgeous, but her expressions and dance moves are purely mesmerizing.

Speaking about her unique prep for the song, Kiara said, “Madhubala is one of the most inspirational and iconic actresses of Indian cinema. When I was offered to do this special song in the film the reference for my look and persona in the song was Madhubala, while I watched many of her songs to pick up a few nuances, I’ll give a lot of credit to Manish who created this look for me.

The next song from ‘Kalank’, the title track, will be out today. The makers wanted to release the song yesterday, but couldn’t. Karan and the others in the team apologised to people on social media for the delay. Let’s hope the song lives up to the hype it has created on social media.
