Shah Rukh Khan Starrer King Faces AI Leak Crisis After Makers Tighten Security

The makers of Shah Rukh Khan’s King have strengthened security measures after an AI-generated fan edit, created using leaked visuals, paparazzi clips, and stills, went viral online. The move comes as the team continues to address fresh leak concerns and aims to safeguard the film’s final schedule. The viral video surfaced days after footage from the film’s climax shoot was leaked on the internet. The 15-minute fan-made edit claimed to provide viewers with a “mini version” of director Siddharth Anand’s film before its official release. Insiders revealed that both fans and the production team promptly reported the footage, leading to its removal from several platforms.

Shah Rukh Khan-Led King Faces AI Leak

A source close to the production told Mid-Day, “The team was already upset after stills from the climax leaked. Before that, sequences from the Cape Town schedule went viral where Deepika and SRK shot a song. The line production team was extremely careful but when someone like SRK shoots in public, it’s impossible to trace the source of the leak. But the AI edit crossed a line because it attempted to recreate the narrative of the film,” the report quoted the source as saying.

The article further explained that the concern wasn’t just about footage circulating online but also about how the AI-generated video tried to stitch together available material to present what it claimed was a version of the film’s story.

Security Tightened On Current Schedule

The insider added that security has now been significantly enhanced around the ongoing schedule near Ghodbunder Road, on the outskirts of Mumbai. The report noted that this location presents its own challenges due to being a busy public area. “This set in Mumbai is a busy area, so removing phone access won’t help much. But movement in the action portions and crucial scenes has become extremely restricted,” the source said.

KING Is In Its final Leg Of Production

King is nearing completion, though nearly two months of shooting remain. The source told the Daily that the project is in its final phase. The patchwork, action inserts, and another schedule yet to be shot, while visual effects work continues alongside production. “King is in its final leg. A lot of patchwork, action inserts, and another schedule remains to be done, with VFX work going on simultaneously. The film is looking to wrap by July-end,” the source revealed.

Siddharth Anand Appeals Against Circulation Of Leaks

Director Siddharth Anand also urged the public not to share leaked material from the film’s set. “Please do not post or circulate any leaked multimedia from the sets of King. The team is working around the clock to ensure the best cinematic experience for everyone. Let us wait for the surprise on the big screen,” he said in a social media post.

As King approaches the conclusion of its shoot, the production team is implementing tighter restrictions on the ground. They are intensifying efforts to prevent further leaks or circulation of material online.
