Madhu Chopra Calls Son Siddharth ‘Collateral Damage’ Due To Priyanka Chopra’s Success; States, “He Grew Up On His Own”

Priyanka Chopra’s mother, Madhu Chopra, opened up about the challenges her family faced while trying to establish Priyanka’s acting career. To support Priyanka’s pursuit of film success, Madhu had to travel extensively with her at a young age. During this period, her son Siddharth was left at home, often feeling like collateral damage. With Dr Ashok Chopra, Priyanka and Siddharth Chopra’s father, busy with his medical practice, Madhu expressed in an earlier interview that she regrets how Siddharth missed out on parental guidance.

On the Something Bigger Show, Madhu shared, “Siddharth was the collateral damage to all of Priyanka’s success because their dad was working, and I was with Priyanka. He just grew up on his own, and he was a teenager at that time. I think he was collateral damage for me.” Her voice wavered with emotion as she reflected, “When I think about it, these are certain things you had to deal with.”

Madhu also revealed that she still sees her son struggling daily. Regarding Siddharth, who got married in 2024, she added, “I see him struggling every day, but I believe that God has blessed you. Just count your blessings, one by one, and you’ll be surprised at what the Lord has done. I count my blessings every day — I have two wonderful kids who love and care for me.”

Today, Siddharth resides in India with his wife Neelam. Priyanka manages a global career, living with husband Nick Jonas and their daughter Malti Marie in the United States. Recently, they celebrated Malti Marie’s 4th birthday in LA in a mermaid themed part.
