Malavika Mohanan turned showstopper for Vineet Rahul during the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Winter Festive 2019. At the event, when the actress was asked if the female actors have started getting better-written roles in movies, she told PTI, “It’s a grey area. There are some roles which are amazing like ‘Piku’ and ‘Queen’. These are amazing female protagonists. But I still think we have a long way to go in terms of equality.”

Malavika made her Hindi film debut with Majid Majidi’s ‘Beyond The Clouds’ in 2017. While talking about signing Bollywood films, she said that she is waiting for the right script. “It depends on when I get a project I really like,” said the actress.

Her next movie is ‘Hero’ opposite Vijay Deverakonda. She said, “It will be released in all four southern languages. Maybe a Hindi version as well, but we’ll see.”

While talking about the collection of designer duo Vineet Rahul, she said, “I think somebody of my generation would like to wear these clothes if they don’t want to go for a sari or a lehenga. I’m wearing a bralette and a palazzo, it can’t get more comfortable than this.”
