After that,  the kind of roles I was getting I was not happy. So had kept one thing in mind, I would not do a film just for the heck of it. Like I am doing films and nobody is watching them; What’s the point. So I decided that let me just focus on what I do and hosting is what I do so let me shine there let me bring out my best there. People liked what I was doing. Then I got a call to do this film and I thought this was something that I like to do. No 1 Banner is great. Director is great, the script is mindblowing, the casting, everything was going in the favour of me doing the film, that’s how I got this and I am very happy I took the call, says Maniesh Paul

Maniesh Paul further elaborated, “I feel that a couple of my films took time to release. There was a buzz that the film is coming but it took two years for it to release.  Something didn’t work but we put in our hundred per cent. But after that, we did think you know that something is not going right. That is the time we have to sit back and introspect that maybe the audience does not want this. When I did this film also, honestly, I didn’t think much. They gave me a film I said let’s get done o the field and play some overs.”
