Manoj Bajpayee reacts to reports of being approached for Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2

There have been reports doing the rounds that actor Manoj Bajpayee will star in Pushpa 2. The actor has reacted to reports about starring in Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer Pushpa: The Rule. Reports stated that the actor has been approached for the role of a police officer in the Sukumar directorial. The Family Man actor took to his Twitter handle to quash the rumours.

Replying to a news article on him being part of Pushpa 2, Manoj wrote, “Kaha Kaha se samachar laatein ho aap log? (From where do you get these updates?)” He also said in a recent interview that there’s no truth to the reports of him joining the sequel of the Allu Arjun film. He told News 18, “No truth! False news! That’s all I can say!”

Earlier, in an interview with Delhi Times, Manoj was all praise for Pushpa, RRR and KGF 2’s box office success. He said, “They are unapologetic, they are passionate, and every shot they take as if they are taking the best shot in the world…They shoot a film as they have envisioned it, they don’t dumb it down for the audience because they hold their audience in the highest regard and their passion is supreme. If you see Pushpa or RRR or KGF, the making of it – it is immaculate. Each and every frame is actually shot in a manner as if it were a life and death situation. This is what we lack.”

Pushpa: The Rise was a blockbuster and it broke several records despite being released amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Pushpa: The Rule shoot is expected to start by the end of July and it might release in summer 2023.
