Ramayana Hustle 5 Pati Patni Aur Panga 2

Earlier this evening, a massive fire broke out on the sets of Namit Malhotra and Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana in Film City. The President of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), BN Tiwari confirmed the incident and shared details about its impact. Read on for details.

Massive Fire Breaks Out On Ramayana Set

As per multiple media reports and videos going viral on social media, a massive Level-1 fire broke out on the set of actor Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana. The fire boke on a 100×20-foot temporary set created behind Reliance Media Works and Prime Focus in Film City, Goregaon East. The blaze – which was reported at 4.02 pm, was extinguished by 4.55 pm.

Mumbai Fire Brigade stated that the fire was confined to electric wiring, installations and cables, along with doors, wooden planks, AC units, bamboo and plastic materials, sound systems and shooting equipment in a PCR unit. Besides the fire brigade, Mumbai police, BMC ward control and 108 ambulance services were mobilised to the scene. No injuries have been reported still.

Speaking to India Today, FWICE President BN Tiwari said, “A few days ago, there was a fire incident at a nearby location, following which we reached out to all producers and asked them to ensure that proper safety measures were in place. However, due to carelessness, this fire incident happened on the set. Fortunately, no one was hurt and the damage was also minor. However, this should serve as a warning to them and other film teams to be more careful and take adequate precautions against such accidents.”

Hustle 5, Pati Patni Aur Panga 2 Also Damages

As per the same reports, the massive fire that originated on the sets of Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramanaya, also spread to near by sets. According to the articles doing the rounds, MTV’s Hustle 5 and Pati Patni Aur Panga 2 shoots were also disturbed due to to the blaze. Initial reports suggest that the fire began on the Pati Patni Aur Panga 2 set before reportedly spreading towards the set of Hustle 5.

According to reports, filming was underway on the Pati Patni Aur Panga 2 set at the time of the incident. As of this minute, there is no official confirmation regarding how extensively either of the TV sets were damaged.
