Liger: Mike Tyson roped in for Vijay Deverakonda starrer; the legend to make first appearance on Indian screens

Former heavyweight world boxing champion Mike Tyson is all set to mark his first appearance in an Indian film. He has been roped in for Vijay Deverakonda starrer Liger. The Arjun Reddy actor took to his Instagram to share the news. He made a post and informed everyone about the latest development. Mike Tyson also received a hearty welcome from Liger producer Karan Johar. KJo announced Tyson’s appearance in the Puri Jagannadh film.

Mike Tyson will make his first appearance on Indian screens with Liger. The makers of the film welcomed the legend with the hashtag ‘NamasteTYSON’. According to a report in Indian Express, a source revealed that Mike Tyson will make a cameo appearance in the climax portions of the pan-India movie.

Sharing the news, Vijay Deverakonda tweeted a video and wrote, “We promised you Madness! We are just getting started For the first time on Indian Screens. Joining our mass spectacle – #LIGER The Baddest Man on the Planet The God of Boxing The Legend, the Beast, the Greatest of all Time! IRON MIKE TYSON #NamasteTYSON (sic)”

Karan Johar even tweeted a similar video. On his Twitter handle, he wrote, “For the first time ever, the king of the ring will be seen on the big screens of Indian cinema! Welcoming @MikeTyson to the #LIGER team! (sic)” See it below:

Liger marks the first collaboration of Puri Jagannadh and Vijay. Deverakonda will essay the character of an MMA fighter with a stutter. The film also stars Ananya Panday in a key role. The movie is bankrolled under the banner of Puri Connects and Dharma Productions.
