In a recent interview to PTI, Mithila Palkar spoke about his co-star Irrfan’s illness and how the promotions of ‘Karwaan’ are incomplete without him. The actress who made her Bollywood debut with ‘Katti Batti, said, “It was extremely heartbreaking to hear this (Irrfan’s illness) but all our love and prayers are with him. He is a fighter. Hope we see him very soon. These promotions are completely incomplete without him. He brings the most vibrant and refreshing flavour of him in ‘Karwaan’.”

Mithila also revealed that it was a huge opportunity for her to work with two versatile actors like Dulquer and Irrfan. She said, “It took me a while for me to understand that I was acting with them. I had to pinch and remind myself that I am their co-actors. Initially, it was intimidating.”

‘Karwaan’ directed by Akarsh Khurana, showcases Mithila as a 19-year-old feisty, confident girl, who has a practical approach towards life and is unapologetic and inhibited. The film is slated to release on August 3 and will  be locking horns with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, and Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Fanney Khan’, and Rishi Kapoor-Taapsee Pannu’s court drama, ‘Mulk.’
