Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Athiya Shetty starrer ‘Motichoor Chaknachoor’ has been plagued with trouble ever since the movie went on floors. Whether it was the fights between the director-producer or it was the reports of Suniel Shetty interfering in the making of the movie, a lot has been written and spoken about the movie.

Even after the movie’s trailer was released, a lot of court cases were reported to have been filed. So much so, there have been reports stating that the film has been banned by a judicial authority and might not release on the anointed release date of November 15. With all this happening, sadly there has been pretty much zero promotion of the movie and there is absolutely no buzz around it.

Well, braving all of these, the makers of the movie have finally managed to keep a special screening for the media. Here’s what the film looks like after the first half.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is in top form. While people might think he is the leader of the pack when it comes to gangster dramas, he is a stellar actor when it comes to comedy.

Athiya Shetty too has got a great hand dealt. I never thought I will ever say this for Athiya, but indeed she has done a commendable job. The two actors leading this film are carrying the film on the shoulders very ably. The supporting cast as well is doing great.

Talking of the story, the film is a breath of fresh air with a new pairing leading from the front. There are numerous places throughout the screenplay where you will end up laughing your guts out. Barring aside a couple of unnecessary songs, the first half was a smooth ride.

The romantic comedy should have been promoted well as the really fewer promotions is sure to affect the collections of this film.

I am definitely looking forward to the second half as the first half ends with a totally unexpected high point. Stay hooked onto Bollywood Bubble for the full review in some time
