Mukesh Bhatt: Rajnath Singh has assured ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ will release without violence
Karan Johar‘s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil‘ has been facing a lot of flak from MNS for having a Pakistani actor, Fawad Khan as part of its star cast. Theatres are being threatened against screening the movie. And now, Minister of Home Affairs of India, Rajnath Singh has finally given the makers a reason to heave a sigh of relief.
A leading media agency took to Twitter to post Mukesh Bhatt’s statement on the same, that reads, “Rajnath Singh ji assured us 100% support and that he will convey to CM to maintain law and order: Mukesh Bhatt after meeting HM #ADHM.”
Another statement from Mukesh read, “Rajnath ji said he will speak to CM of every state and that #ADHM will release without any violence or issue: Mukesh Bhatt after meeting HM.”
Speaking to a leading daily, Mukesh Bhatt said, “What we are asking is our legitimate right to conduct business which is the fundamental right of an Indian. The movie is a universal family entertainer. There is no point for a fellow Indian to fight a fellow Indian. Why is an Indian fighting an Indian and making a Pakistani feel victorious? We should be together. You have a different way of expressing your sorrows of what happened in Uri and I am also very upset. But by being upset I don’t have to kill my fellow Indian for no fault of his.”
He further added. “What is important is Diwali is a festival for the entire family and it’s a romantic family entertainer that is coming and keeping the spirit of the festive season in mind, why should we spoil Diwali of our own people. Let them go and enjoy Diwali by seeing a good movie which can facilitate happiness.”
